マーク先生から新年のご挨拶

Happy New Year.  I hope everyone had a happy and restful start to the year.  For me the new

year break is a time of personal reflection and planning. I try to think about all the things in my

life for which I am grateful. I personally take stock of who I am, where I want to go, and who I

want to be. 　At the Bright school I try to apply this kind of thinking to my students.  We want to create an atmosphere where children are comfortable and welcome like their own home. Children can enjoy their time with friends and make new ones. Moreover, we will focus on English education as a tool to communicate with the world.  I want English to be positive force in their lives giving them both enjoyment and freedom.

あけましておめでとうございます。皆様が、新年に向けてハッピーで安らかなスタートをお迎えできますように。

　個人的には、冬休みは旧年を振り返り、新年の計画を立てる時間です。そして、人生において感謝すべきすべてのことに心をはせる時間です。これまでの私、これからの目標そしてなりたい自分について棚卸し（吟味）します。ブライト学院でも、私はこのような考え方で生徒の皆さんにあたっていきたいと思います。私たちは、家にいるときのように快適でウェルカムの雰囲気をつくっていきたいです。子供たちは友達との時間を楽しみ、新しい友達もつくれるはず。

さらに、世界とのコミュニケーションの道具としての英語教育にフォーカスします。英語が子供たちの人生に喜びと自由をもたらしてくれる確かな強みとなって欲しいものです。

投稿後記　マーク先生、同感です。日本の英語教育も大きく変わってきました。受験のための英語から使える英語へ、まさにEnglish as a tool to communicate with the world の習得へと大きく舵取りしています。
